Make the numbers useful. Make the work easier.

Predictive Lines works alongside owners and finance teams to untangle the numbers, fix the workflow, and build the tools the business actually needs.

01Find the real constraint
02Reconcile the data
03Build the working system
04Hand over something the team can run
$150MARR supported by an executive cost model
$600K+annual recurring savings identified
30,000+endpoints unified across source systems

What we build

Finance work that does not stop at the spreadsheet.

I help define the decision, trace the process, build the model, connect the data, and put the finished tool into use.

01

Finance systems

Scenario models, cash forecasts, pricing and cost analysis, reconciliations, and management reporting that can be traced back to the source.

02

AI-enabled operations

Small, focused automations for email, calendars, tasks, documents, accounting data, and internal knowledge. People stay in control of approvals and exceptions.

03

Systems integration

Python, SQL, API, and MCP integrations that replace manual handoffs and show where each number came from.

04

Operating model design

Process redesign, controls, documentation, and hands-on rollout support for businesses that are growing or changing ownership.

Forward-deployed finance engineering

Embedded long enough to solve the real problem.

A forward-deployed finance engineer sits with the people doing the work, learns how the business really runs, and builds the answer in place. It is part finance, part data work, and part implementation.

Start with the decision

What does the team need to decide, how often, and with what level of confidence? That determines the model and the data it needs.

Work in the source systems

I reconcile the spreadsheet, ERP, CRM, contract, and operating data instead of asking the team to clean everything up first.

Leave a working tool

The output might be a forecast, margin model, reporting workflow, or internal application. It ships with controls and documentation, and the team knows how to run it.

A good fit when

The forecast takes days to rebuild. Margin is hard to explain. Reporting depends on one person. A transaction, acquisition, or new product has exposed gaps in the numbers. The finance team knows what it needs but does not have the engineering capacity to build it.

Selected work

Work already in use.

Managed cloud services · Cost intelligence

Found the cost story across 30,000 endpoints.

Reconciled financial, contract, licensing, and configuration data to identify recurring savings and bring licensing compliance above 99%.

Technology services · Product economics

Put consistent economics behind technical services.

Built pricing models, cost standards, and operating practices used across more than $50M in recurring contracts and teams of 100+ people.

How we work

A few rules I do not bend.

01Reconcile source systems before automating the answer.

02Design the process before adding the technology.

03Keep people in the loop for consequential actions.

04Show the assumptions and what happens when something fails.

05Build for this business first. Reuse comes later.

About Predictive Lines

Finance operator who builds.

Predictive Lines is led by Justin Miller, a finance and technology operator with more than 18 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, product leadership, operations, and consulting.

My work usually starts with a finance question and crosses into data, systems, or process design. That is where many important problems sit, and it is where I do my best work.

Have a process that should work better?

Let’s turn it into a system.
